Scientist of the Week – Kids Science Magazine
At Kids Science Magazine, your safety comes first. Our weekly Scientist of the Week Challenge is designed to be fun, educational, and safe for children.
Please read these simple rules before participating.
👧🧒 Who Can Participate?
- The challenge is for kids and students who love science
- Recommended for ages 6–16
- Parents and teachers are welcome to help younger kids
🔐 Personal Information Safety (VERY IMPORTANT)
To keep everyone safe:
✅ We do NOT ask for:
- Full name
- Home address
- Phone number
- School name
- Photos or videos
- Email address
✅ Only allowed:
- First name OR nickname (example: “Aarav”, “ScienceKid”, “Emma S.”)
👉 Never share private information anywhere on the site.
🧠 How to Participate Safely
- Answer questions honestly
- Use your own thinking
- Be respectful in comments or answers
- One entry per child per week
🚫 No copying answers from others
🚫 No rude or hurtful language
Science is about learning, not cheating.
🧪 Safe Science Only
- All challenges are reading, thinking, quiz, or observation-based
- ❌ No dangerous experiments
- ❌ No chemical mixing
- ❌ No sharp tools, fire, or electricity
If a challenge suggests observing nature or daily life:
👉 Do it safely and with an adult nearby if needed
🏆 Results & Recognition
- Results are shared every Sunday
- Winners may be shown as:
- First name only
- Nickname only
- No rankings that shame or pressure kids
